Appointee shot in leg during occurrence that shut down I-79.

An Upshur County Deputy was shot in the leg Thursday early daytime during an occurrence that shut down all paths in the two bearings on I-79.

Authorities say the suspect in the occurrence is down yet have not gotten out whatever occurred. The entire episode occurred in Lewis County, despite the fact that an Upshur County Deputy was shot, authorities say.

The northward paths are shut “endlessly”, yet one path of I-79 southward has resumed. Northward traffic has been bypassed onto U.S. Highway 19 as per West Virginia State Police.
